Employees’ Body Asks Govt To Deposit Nps Legacy Data | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The New Pension Scheme Employees’ Federation of Rajasthan (NPSEFR) has urged the state government to deposit NPS legacy data amounting to nearly Rs 30 crore in the state government’s heads – revenue head for employer’s share and GPF-2004 account for the employee’s share.
“The state government has started the process of depositing legacy data by updating the utility of ‘update laser’ on SIPF portal. Rajasthan’s NPS legacy data is the lowest in the country. We want the legacy data of around Rs 30 crore to be deposited in the state government’s revenue head (employer’s share) and GPF account (employee’s share). The matter pertaining to depositing the employees’ share in the GPF account is under consideration at the level of the state cabinet,” said Vinod Kumar, state coordinator, NPSEFR.
The old pension scheme (OPS) was restored in Rajasthan in April last year.
An RTI reply obtained from the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) had revealed that there’s a mismatch of nearly Rs 4 crore between government’s share (Rs 14,171.54 crore) and employees’ share of Rajasthan (Rs 14,167.82 crore) under the National Pension System (NPS) fund. The reply had also revealed that the total value of investment/NAV (net asset value) till date (principal amount +/-profit/ gain/ loss) for Rajasthan was Rs 40,157.18 crore.
