Dhabai has alleged corruption in tender allocation for several projects in the civic body. She said that tenders are being allotted without the approval from the finance committee. Dhabai has raised this matter earlier also in the general body meeting of the civic body.
On August 7, the meeting of the finance committee had to be cancelled as councillors did not attend. This Wednesday, the meeting again had to be rescheduled as Dhabai said that proper agenda was not given to the councillors.
“Only the initial part of the agenda was circulated to the members of the committee instead of the whole agenda. Discussions were held on Wednesday about approval for projects without the knowledge of the finance committee but no final decision was taken as members did not have the complete agenda. Now, the meeting has again been scheduled for next week,” said Dhabai. TNN
