Jmc-g Instructs Officials To Seal Open Wires Before Monsoon To Curb Mishaps | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Light committee chairperson in JMC-Greater has instructed officials to repair all open wires before monsoon, especially in parks. The instructions were strictly given to orevent from electrocution.
The light committee chairperson has also instructed officials to ensure that repair and maintenance of lights is done evenly in all wards.
Sukhpreet Bansal, chairperson for streetlight committee, said, “No survey has been conducted by the municipal corporation to check the number of lights in different wards. There are complaints of lights not being functional or being stolen, but proper action has not been taken. Officials must start working on maintenance of lights before the monsoon season to prevent accidents.”
The chairperson has instructed that open wires, lights inside parks, lights installed on footpaths, all must be checked, and repair work should be done.
“No unfortunate incident like Gaurav Keswani’s death should happen again and a survey should be conducted with councillors from different wards. The company in-charge of installing lights must also be checked on what kind of work they are doing and payment should be made accordingly,” said Bansal.
