Jaipur: An upper division clerk working at the deputy commissioner’s officer, Aadarsh Nagar zone of JMC-Heritage, was arrested by the ACB for allegedly accepting Rs 25,000 on Tuesday.
The accused had demanded the bribe in lieu of clearing a pending file for releasing the outstanding amount of pension of the mother of complainant.
Hemant Priyadarshi, additional director general, ACB, who also has the charge of DG, ACB, said a complainant approached the headquarters and informed that paperwork related to the pension of his mother was pending for a long time.
“The accused identified as Meghraj Chawaria had demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 in lieu of completing and submitting the papers related to the release of outstanding payment of the mother of complaint,” he said.
The officials said that the accused invited the complainant with the bribe on Tuesday and was caught while accepting it..
