Jmc-h Councillor, Residents Protest Over ‘apathy To Bjp Wards’ | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: JMC Heritage (JMC-H) councillor Kusum Yadav from Johri Bazaar sat on a protest along with some residents at Ghatgate zone office on Friday, alleging that development work was not being carried out in BJP wards despite repeated requests.
The protesters raised slogans, asking the JMC-H administration to wake up and listen to the residents.
“Under the Prashasan Shaharon Ke Sang campaign, leases are not being issued in my ward for the last two months. We have been repeatedly going to officials with our complaints on various issues, but no action is taken. The monsoon is about to come, and cleaning of drains are yet to start. The drains in the ward are full of garbage, but the corporation is not paying any attention. We are being discriminated against,” said Yadav.
The residents protested outside the office of the zone deputy commissioner. When the official was not available to meet them, they pasted a memorandum on his chair and left.
Yadav alleged that since the board of JMC Heritage was formed over two years ago, the civic body has been discriminating against the wards of BJP councillors. She said the civic body administration was just not interested in getting development work done in these wards as they were “BJP wards”.
