Jmc-h Mayor Holds Meeting To Take Stock Of Situation | Jaipur News
Jaipur: JMC-Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar on Wednesday held a meeting to take stock of the cleanliness situation in the city. The mayor said that officials must talk to sanitation workers and make sure that residents do not suffer.
Deputy commissioner for health Ashish Kumar informed the mayor that sanitation workers on strike were causing hindrance in lifting garbage from depots in the city.
“There is no surety on how long the strike will continue and we have no objections to their demands, but if someone obstructs work, then authorities must tell them to not disturb the work. The situation is getting worse as waste is not being collected from garbage depots and people are facing trouble because of this. Home guards along with sub-inspectors of the vigilance wing and head constables should be sent to ensure that the waste is lifted,” said Gurjar.
She further instructed the deputy commissioner health to take help of workers from non-Valmiki communities and voluntary organisations so that the cleaning process remains smooth.
The mayor herself inspected areas in Malviya Nagar zone on Wednesday and also sweept some street stretches. She instructed people to keep their surroundings clean.
