Jmc: Jmc-g To Allot 563 Dairy Booths By Interviewing 2.2k Applicants | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: After the lottery process was done for dairy booth allotment in Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Greater on Thursday, the civic body has now decided to take interviews for the final applications.
In the lottery process, the applications drawn were four times the number of booths sanctioned for JMC-Greater. For the JMC-Greater area, 563 dairy booths have been sanctioned, while over 19,000 applications were received this year. Now, for the interview process over 2,200 applications have been shortlisted and the interview process will be conducted between April 10- 26.
“Four applicants have been shortlisted for one booth, who will be interviewed from April 10 onwards. A total of 19,905 applications were received for 563 dairy booths in the JMC-Greater area. After scrutiny of these applications, over 7,000 applications were rejected and a lottery was drawn from the remaining 11,235 applications,” said an official.
Mahendra Soni, commissioner JMC-Greater said, “From the short listed applicants, the interview process will be conducted as per the government guidelines, which will focus on identifying skills like marketing, behavioural skills will be checked. There is no specific educational qualification needed for this and the interview will have very basic questions. The documents of the applicants will also be reverified.”
The state government in its budget 2022-23, had announced an allocation of 5,000 dairy booths in the state. For this, all the urban bodies of the state had sought applications by marking places for dairy booths in their respective areas. There was a provision to allot maximum dairy booths including 1,144 in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation area.
Last month, the state government had written to all district collectors to start the process of dairy booth allocation. In areas falling under the jurisdiction of JMC-Greater, officials have written to the traffic police for NOC for these booths. Of the 563, NOC has been given for over 400 booths and 140 are pending.
