Jmc-g To Identify & Free Land From Squatters To Create Bank | Jaipur News

The decision was taken on Thursday during a meeting of the building permission committee of JMC-G.
Jitendra Shrimali, the chairperson of the committee, said, “There are several projects that the municipal corporation wants to start but due to lack of availability of land, we are not able to plan them. We have decided to conduct a survey and identify all the land that is owned by the corporation but has been encroached upon as permanent or temporary encroachments and get it cleared. This will help us build a land bank in every ward and action plans for infrastructure development can be made.”
The building permission committee has also decided that JMC-Greater will make it mandatory to take a completion certificate (like an all purpose NOC) for residential apartment buildings being constructed in the city as a safety measure.
“This provision exists of taking a completion certificate from the municipal corporation, which is basically a safety measure to check that the construction is done following all the norms, but 99% of the people do not take this certificate. We will now make it mandatory and add a clause that it will be mandatory to take this certificate when people take the approval for the layout of the building,” said the chairperson.
The committee also decided that all the electrical transformers on land owned by the civic body will be covered by mesh wires and plastic sheets. On the plastic sheets, advertisements can be put up, which will help increase revenue for JMC-Greater.
“We will send an action plan regarding this idea to the mayor as it will help increase revenue of the municipal corporation and also act as an additional safety measure about electricity transformers in the city,” added Shrimali.
