Job: Depressed At Lack Of Job, Btech Grad Ends Life | Jaipur News

Kota: A 28-year-old man, who was depressed over unemployment despite having a B.Tech degree, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a canal from Thegda over bridge under Udhyog Nagar police station in Kota city on Wednesday noon. The body was handed over to family members after a postmortem on Thursday noon.

The deceased man was identified as Rakesh Nayak (28), a resident of Uttam Nagar under Borkheda police station in Kota.
According to family members, the deceased man completed B. Tech four years ago and had been looking for a job but was not getting one. Hence, he sank into depression over unemployment and prima facie committed suicide, said circle inspector at Udhyog Nagar police station, Manoj Sikarwal.

The deceased had availed an education loan of Rs 4 lakh from a bank and was unable to repay the same due to persistent unemployment, he added.
The deceased reportedly gave an interview for a job in a private school on Wednesday morning but was not selected, following which he went to the factory where his father worked and while returning from there, he jumped into the canal.
