SRINAGAR: Three people died while eight others sustained injuries after a mysterious explosion rocked Drass in Ladakh’s Kargil district late Friday evening, officials said. “The nature of the blast, which occurred near a scrap site in Kabadi Nallah, was not yet known,” Kargil SSP Anayat Ali Chowdhary said.
Those injured in the explosion were shifted to Drass sub-district hospital. “Police have registered a case and investigations have begun,” an official said, adding that further evidence was being collected and the nature of the blast was being probed.
