Kataria: Raj Leading In Production Of Millets: Kataria | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Agriculture minister Lalchand Kataria claimed that the state is leading in the production of millets in the country and in the coming years the income of the farmers will increase manifold due to the increase in the demand for coarse grains.
Kataria was replying to the debate on the demands for grants from the agriculture department and animal husbandry and fisheries department in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. Responding to the allegations by the BJP MLAs of ignoring the welfare of farmers, Kataria said that the state government has implemented schemes on a large scale for the welfare of farmers and animal herders.
“The fencing scheme has been implemented effectively to save the crop from stray animals. Under the scheme, 45 lakh meters of wire fencing is proposed to be done by giving grants to 15,000 farmers,” said Kataria.
