Jaipur: BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena has accused urban development and housing (UDH) minister Shanti Dhariwal of illegally allocating bungalows to people close to him under the pretence of skill development.
Meena visited NRI Colony (Raj Aangan) on Thursday and claimed that the government has been involved in corrupt practices in the allotment of bungalows. Meena also alleged that the minister is making improper land allocations and granting valuable land to individuals with personal connections with him. Dhariwal was unavailable for comment on these allegations till late in the night.
“Dhariwal allocated 2377.36 sq m of land worth Rs 45 crore to his associate, Ashwini RG Memorial Education Society of Kota. However, the land was sold for only Rs 6 crore, with Rs 18 lakh being paid to Dhariwal’s associate. The land was meant for skill development and education sector, but no such activities took place. A luxurious bungalow has been built where late-night drinking parties are allegedly held,” said Meena.
