Lawrence: 3 Pose As Lawrence To Extort ₹5l From Female Doc, Arrested | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Three men posed as gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to intimidate a 25-year-old girl undergoing masters for extortion of Rs 5 lakh.
ACP (Chaksu) Ajay Sharma said that the FIR was registered at the Shivdaspura police station on September 10 and the police Tuesday arrested the three accused idenitfied as Deen Dayal (22), Vikas Meena (22), and Manish Prajapati (22).
The preliminary investigation has revealed that all three accused worked at the same medical college where the girl was pursuing her master’s degree and obtained her phone number from there. The police said that the accused had recently stopped working and did not have any job at hand. Therefore, they devised a scheme to extort money from the girl, hoping that she would not approach the police.
The accused had learned about the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. They used this knowledge to threaten the girl with extortion, warning her that they would harm her if she didn’t provide the money on time.
The accused threatened the girl, claiming that they had the means to abduct her from her PG hostel if she didn’t comply with their demands. In response, the girl filed an FIR (First Information Report) with the police, and law enforcement authorities formed multiple teams to locate and apprehend the suspects.
The police have filed an FIR in the case and successfully tracked down all the accused individuals.
“It appears that their motive was to make quick money through extortion and spend money since they were out of work for a long time now,” added an official.
