‘leave Toilet, Join Pilot’, Sangod Congress Legislator Tells Gehlot | Jaipur News

Kota: Congress MLA and former minister Bharat Singh Kundanpur on Saturday accused Chief minister Ashok Gehlot of being involved with the “Ravan of corruption” in the state and asked the CM to “leave the toilet (corruption) and join Pilot” to end corruption in Rajasthan. Kundanpur, the MLA from Sangod in Kota district, shot off a letter to Gehlot on Saturday, in which he described mines and cattle rearing minister Pramod Jain Bhaya as the “Ravan of corruption” and alleged that Gehlot has been providing support to Bhaya.
“In the interests of Congress, please leave the toilet and ally with Pilot,” said Kundanpur in the letter addressed to Gehlot. He later explained that by “toilet,” he meant “the toilet of corruption”. By “Pilot,” he meant Congress leader Sachin Pilot who is currently on a foot march against corruption, he said. “Please stop providing protection to the corrupt Bhaya,” wrote Kundanpur to the CM.
In the letter, Kundanpur said he has kept a figure of Ravan at his office for the last six years and that there is a message against corruption written on its chest. He said this figure was used much during protests and demonstrations against the wrongdoings of the previous BJP government in the state.
“What is written on the Ravan figure’s chest merits contemplation. It says: Committing mistakes knowingly is wrong; covering up the mistakes is more wrong; maintaining silence when higher officials have knowledge of the wrongdoing is collusion; if the head of the department keeps silent, it is corruption along with collusion; ego of post also causes pain to the public,” says the letter.
Speaking to TOI, Kundanpur said, “In my letter, I have urged the CM to stop supporting Bhaya, who has been synonymous with corruption, and to join Sachin Pilot in his mission against corruption.”
