JAIPUR: Rain and hailstorm lashed eatern parts of the state on Wednesday and lightning claimed two lives in Dholpur district.
Ankush Sharma (20) died because of lightning in Sadpura village under Basedi police station while three others, Rahul (15), Rohit (15) and Mohit (22), suffered burn injuries and were sent to Basedi Hospital.
In another incident, Gajendra Singh (22) was struck by lightning at Kanchanpur area of Dholpur. At Baroda village of Rudawal sub-tehsil area in Bharatpur district, two buffaloes were seriously injured after lightning hit them.
The weather remained dry and sunny in the rest of the cities of Rajasthan. Hailstorm, accompanied by severe thunderstorms and stormy winds at Kathumar in Alwar district brought relief from the scorching heat.
