Man Being Taken To Court Jumps Off Bus, Dies; Three Cops Removed | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The station house officer (SHO) and two constables of Bhaleri police station in Churu district were removed after a 38-year-old man was killed after he jumped off a running bus in which he was being escorted by a constable to a court on Saturday. The man, identified as Pramod Kumar, was arrested in a dowry case.
Churu SP Digant Anand said Kumar jumped off the bus in a bid to escape from police custody. “He was arrested in connection with a dowry case lodged at Bhaleri police station in the district. He was being taken to the court in Tara Nagar area, 30 km away, in a passenger bus. He jumped out of the running bus through the rear gate to escape from police custody,” he said. Kumar got injured after jumping off the bus and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died, said a police official. tnn
