Man Falls From Low-floor Bus In City, Injured; Driver Booked | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A 28-year-old man sustained multiple fractures by falling off a low-floor bus while trying to get down allegedly because the driver suddenly accelerated at an intersection at Gopalpura bypass in the city.
The accident police station (East) registered an FIR after the family members lodged a complaint on Friday.
As per the complaint, the incident took place at about 4:20pm on January 16. The victim, Lalit Sharma, a native of Bharatpur district, was standing on the footboard and getting ready to get down when the bus driver allegedly accelerated to go ahead before the traffic lights turned red.
“Sharma had got up from his seat to get down at the bus stand. The driver veered the bus at an excessive speed, due to which he fell off,” said an official.
As per the FIR, Sharma fell on the road and sustained fractures on his left hand and left leg. An ambulance was called to the spot, and he was rushed to Jaipuria Hospital. He was then taken to a private hospital for further treatment. TNN
