Married Couple: Married Couple, Friend Killed As Jeep Hits Car In Bharatpur |

Jaipur: Three persons, including a married couple, were killed when their car collided head-on with a speeding Bolero near Kaimasi village in Uchhain, Bharatpur, on Saturday afternoon. Four people, including a father and son who were traveling in the Bolero, sustained injuries.
The accident occurred when the Bolero lost control due to a tyre burst. Following their collision, both vehicles struck a tree at the roadside.
A police official said, “The four injured were transported to Uchhain Hospital and subsequently referring them to RBM Hospital in Bharatpur. Two of the injured have been admitted to the ICU.”
The deceased were identified as Samitabh Mishra (35), resident of Bharatpur, who was en route from Jatwada in Karauli to Uchhain with his wife, Dolly Mishra (33), and their friend, Dinesh Rajput (34). The couple got married on September 30, 2017, and have a 5-year-old son.
Samitabh was a probationary officer (PO) at Bank of Baroda in Jaipur. Dolly and Dinesh were teachers at the higher secondary school in Jatwara, Karauli.
According to police, Samitabh had left from Jaipur by car on Saturday, initially heading to Sewar. He went to Jatwara to pick up his wife from school. It was during this time that Dinesh, a colleague of his wife, also joined them in the car. Dinesh hailed from Govardhan Gate in Deeg.
The four persons travelling in the Bolero were residents of Bamanwas in Sawai Madhopur and were returning home from Sauroji, Uttar Pradesh.

More than a fifth of cars sold in EU in August were full EVs – ACEA
In August, over 20% of new cars sold in the European Union were fully electric, with sales of zero-emission models more than doubling, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). This marks the first time that fully-electric models have accounted for more than one-fifth of sales. Overall car sales in the EU increased by 21% in August, with Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Renault experiencing sales growth. Diesel models only accounted for 12.5% of sales, a significant decrease from their previous dominance in 2015.
