Med Aspirant Who Fell To Death Had Died By Suicide, Say Cops | Jaipur News

Kota: A day after a NEET aspirant fell from a multi-storey building in Landmark City here, police confirmed after initial investigation that she had committted suicide by jumping from the building’s 10th floor.
On Thursday, police said the 17-year-old girl left a ‘goodbye’ message for her parents and family members in her diary.
The deceased girl, identified as Krishna Vishnoi (17), a resident of Chauhtan village in Barmer district, had been living with her two brothers and a sister in the same building on the 2nd floor. She had been taking online coaching for the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET).
Circle officer of the area, DSP Shankar Lal said, on Wednesday evening around 7 pm, she climbed up the 10th floor of the building and jumped from there and died on the spot. The teen left a one line message ‘goodbye’ for her parents and family members in her diary, recovered from her room, the circle officer added.
Parents of the deceased girl have not yet reached Kota to claim the body so it was placed in the mortuary.
The post mortem will be conducted after their arrival in the city and further action in the matter would be initiated as per their report, added DSP Lal.
In Kota. it is the third incident of suicide by a coaching student this year while at least 15 coaching students had killed self last year in 2022. Besides, a 20-year-old NEET aspirant, identified as Ishanshu Bhattacharya (20), resident of Dhupguri in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal, had died on the spot after falling from the 6th floor of his hostel building in Jawahar Nagar police station area of the city on Thursday last week.
