Medical Tests: Medical Tests Of Accused Keep Patients Waiting At Emergency | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Patients and their relatives visiting SMS Hospital on Monday faced trouble for nearly an hour due to restrictions put up by the hospital administration over security concerns when the two men arrested for the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi were brought for their medical tests.
Ambulances carrying patients were seen parked outside the emergencyunit of the hospital, unattended.Police prevented the entry of patients and their kin into the emergency unit till the medical tests of the men in custody were completed there.
The restrictions were put in place about 15 minutes before the two arrested men, Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, were brought under heavy police protection.
“Since it is a sensitive matter, we had to adopt caution. Some tests had been conducted by our hospital team at the police station level. They (the two accused) were brought here for X-rays,” said medical superintendent Dr Achal Sharma.
He denied that the patients were stopped from entering the emergency unit or faced any sort of obstacles in treatment at the emergency unit. He, however, said the attendants of patients were not allowed to come inside the emergency unit due to security reasons.
Gogamedi aide critical: The condition of Ajit Singh, an aide of Gogamedi who received a gunshot injury, has not improved. He is in the hospital’s ICU on ventilator support, said Dr Sharma.

The men, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Singh Rathore, were arrested along with their aide Udham Singh. Another individual, Ramveer Singh, was arrested for helping the duo execute the murder plan and facilitate their escape. The police have obtained production warrants for Bhavani Singh alias Ronnie, Rahul Kothal, and Sandeep, who were also part of the conspiracy. Naveen Shekhawat took Fauji and Rathore to Gogamedi’s house, where they shot him dead.
