Mgnrega: Cm Approves 25 More Job Days Under Mgnrega | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday approved the proposal to provide additional 25 days of employment to those families who have completed 100 days of work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
For this, the CM made a budget provision of Rs 675 crore.
Along with this, 200 days of employment will be available for people belonging to Kathaudi and Sahariya communities and specially abled persons, a statement issued by the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.
An announcement in this regard was made by the CM in the Budget 2023-24. The government of India has revised the MGNREGA labour budget for the state up to 34 lakh for the financial year 2022-23. The state government has already generated over 32.58 crore persondays under the scheme (for the financial year 2022-23).
The government of India has made it mandatory for the state government to link Aadhaar details of MGNREGA labourers with their bank accounts for release of their payments/wages. Due to this, there is a delay in the payment of wages of lakhs of MGNREGA workers in the state.
The Centre has also asked the state to clear payments of mates and masons for releasing its share of material payment under MGNREGA.
