Jaipur: The Jaipur police successfully located Sanjay Gupta, a joint commissioner at the state GST department, who had been missing since June 17.
Gupta was found attending a yoga camp in Rishikesh.The search for Gupta, who had left his residence on June 17 after informing his family that he was attending a wedding, had left authorities puzzled. His last known location was traced to Bassi near Jaipur. It was later discovered that Gupta had boarded a train to Rishikesh.
In their search to find Gupta, the Jaipur police dispatched several teams to Rishikesh and New Delhi. According to SHO Saroj Dhayal of Mahesh Nagar police station, the police finally located Gupta in Rishikesh. Officers said they will speak to him to find the reason why he left.
“We had sent multiple teams to New Delhi, Alwar and Rishikesh. Our team was camping in Rishikesh and we found Gupta walking near a road. We are bringing him to Jaipur to see why he left without telling his family,” she said.
