Modi: Modi May Come To Raj 15-20 Times, But Will Not Win: Cm | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Critiquing the recent visits of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to the poll-bound state, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday remarked that no matter how many times the Prime Minister visits, he will not win the election in Rajasthan. Taking a dig, Gehlot pointed out that Modi has visited the state six times in the last few months, but this is unlikely to yield positive results.
“Whether you visit Rajasthan 15-20 times or make up and down trips, the people have already made up their minds to elect a repeat the government. The efforts to inject money and resources, as well as your grand rallies and road shows, will not alter their decision,” he stated.
Replying to a question that how he is going to move steps towards his Mission 156, Gehlot said, “People are going to take step towards it. How far they take steps, it will come out in the results. But, I can claim that people have made up their mind towards the mission and moving towards it. People are supreme and it accept their decision.”
Gehlot was talking to reporters after paying tribute to former PM Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary at Congress headquarters here.
Continuing his attack on Modi, Rajasthan Gehlot said he had never expected that the PM would keep such a thought to wipe out the names of those who made history of the country. He said, “We do not have ego and arrogance like them (PM Modi) to say that next time I will again come on Red Fort on August 15. I cannot say this. He can only say this. Neither we have ego nor arrogance. We are doing our work.”
The Chief Minister said that whether PM Modi is doing it under the pressure of RSS or the BJP to wipe out names of those who created history of this country, he is doing it wrong as the Prime Minister is of a country and not of any particular party.
“Forget those who sacrificed their lives and remained in jails before independence. Wipe them out. Now, they have changed name of Jawahar Lal Nehru Museum. At what level they are going. It is beyond my understanding,” Gehlot said.
