Ropeway Project: Joshi Distances Self From Cancelled Event | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Cabinet minister Mahesh Joshi on Thursday distanced himself from a foundation stone laying ceremony of a ropeway project for the Garh Ganesh temple.
The ropeway system has been developed by a private company, but it was cancelled by the administration due to the model code of conduct in place.
Joshi was supposed to join the ceremony on Thursday where a stone plaque with his name was to be installed. Officials from the election commission learnt about the incident and removed the plaque from the spot. Amid the controversies, five priests of major temples together laid the foundation for the ropeway.
While speaking to the media, Joshi said, “The company and other people wanted me to lay its foundation stone, but due to complaints the Election Commission officials stopped it.”
