Mp Teen Caught Stealing In Bundi Reveals Gang Strategy | Jaipur News

KOTA: A 13-year-old boy arrested for running away with a bag containing gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees stolen from a wedding venue in Bundi city has made stunning revelations about his gang and its modus operandi during his interrogation.
The minor, detained two days ago, told police he was trained in stealing and was hired on a contract made with his parents for Rs 1.50 lakh per month.
He said he had lost count of the number of thefts and burglaries he had committed because they have been so frequent.
During interrogation, police learnt that most of the people of Sanchi community in a village in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh are engaged in theft and burglary and have their own gangs.
“Those gangs hire on contract innocent looking boys since small children are often not suspected, and they train them in the tricks of stealing and committing burglary. They assign them the task of picking up a particular bag at a selected crowded venue,” said Arvind Bhardwaj, the circle inspector at Bundi Sadar police station.
“These gangs from the village in MP are active in neighbouring states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. They take the minors to these places by train and sometimes even by airplane. Two or three members of the gang reach the target wedding venue by car and assign the minor tasks such as picking up bags containing valuables and cash,” he added.
Police produced the minor before juvenile justice board on Friday and sent him to a child shelter home as per its order. He was called again for interrogation. Since his parents have been made co-accused in the case, a police team was sent to the village in MP to trace them.
