National award-winning artists showcased 40 sculptures for art-lovers

With the support of the Kolkata Sculptors Institute, 40 sculptors and 26 drawings were exhibited at the ICA Gallery. The 15-day art exhibition has brought national award-winning artists from Kolkatawho have displayed 40 sculptures with diverse forms, representing the Ghats of Varanasi, the Mahabharata war, nature, and various aspects of maternal love as part of the “Bhaskarya” group exhibition.Dr. Rajiv Bagrahatta, the principal of the SMS Medical College and senior Professor of Cardiology, inaugurated the exhibition as a special guest.

The artists have exhibited 40 sculptures and 26 drawings in the group. All the sculptures are made of bronze metal, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship and depicting scenes from the Ghats of the Ganges, the various forms of nature, Krishna’s leelas, musical instruments, and more. This art exhibition depicting the admirable presentation of modern, tribal, and traditional cultures with themes such as Leela, Power, Krishna, Ghats 31, City of Joy, Dada Singers, Emotional Touch, Relaxing, Search for Water, Nature, Abhimanyu, Returning Home, Rhythm of Life, Storm, Writer, Language of Spirit, and more. This included artists like Ratan Krishna Saha, the National Award winner for the year 2020, AFA Governor’s Award recipient, and Russian Government Award winner; Subrata Paul, AFA’s All India Best Sculptor Award winner; and Subrata Biswas, Somanath Chakraborty, Chandan Roy, Debabrata Day, and Provat Majhi.
