asus zenfone 8: Asus Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip India launch confirmed

The Asus Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip smartphone are headed to India and will arrive soon, as per the Asus India website that has got a landing page for the new devices. The two flagship smartphones come powered by Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile chipset. While one of the major highlights of the Zenfone 8 is its 5.9-inch compact size, the 8 Flip continues the company’s tradition of packing in a flip camera module that serves as the rear and front camera both, a tradition it began with the Asus 6Z.
According to a Google Play listing, Asus will launch the Zenfone 8 in India as Asus 8Z. The name of the smartphone is listed along with model numbers ASUS_I006D and ZS590KS. To recall, the Asus Zenfone 8 launched at $599 and it is expected to come with a starting price tag of Rs 45,000 in India.
Asus Zenfone 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with 6GB/8GB/16GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in three storage variants — 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. It features a 5.9-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution.
The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of ZenUI 8 and offers dual SIM support.
The Asus Zenfone 8 sports a dual rear setup with a 64MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. You will find a 12MP front camera for selfies on the smartphone. The smartphone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
Asus Zenfone 8 comes with an IP68 rating which makes the smartphone dust and water-resistant. The handset also comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
