Nayanthara wishes Atlee on his 37th birthday in a heartfelt post amid reports of being upset with Jawan director | Hindi Movie News
She took to her Instagram stories to share a collage of behind-the-scenes stills from Jawan sets. In the pictures, Nayanthara and Atlee can be seen indulged in deep conversations about certain scenes.The Lady Superstar can also be seen smiling from ear to ear in between her shots. “Happy birthday @atlee47 . So proud of u (hug emojis),” Nayanthara wrote.
Nayanthara’s heartfelt birthday wish for Atlee has come a day after Hindustan Times reported that the actress was very upset with Atlee. The report stated that her role was chopped and Deepika’s character was elevated, adding that it was not a cameo instead Jawan was made to look like a SRK-Deepika film.
The report also suggested that Nayanthara might not pursue a Bollywood project anytime soon after this fiasco because she was not happy with the treatment of Jawan, being a leading actor down south.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan were seen attending Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Director Atlee and his wife Priya along with Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan and kids Suhana Khan and AbRam were also a part of the celebrations.
At the Jawan success press conference, Nayanthara had joined the team via video call and reflected on her Jawan journey. “I have been reading all your messages, and I have to say it is absolutely overwhelming to receive so much love for Jawan. Your support means the world to me, and I’m extremely, extremely grateful for it. And of course, a big thank you to my lovely co-stars and the entire team for giving me the opportunity to play Narmada. It’s been a journey filled with laughter, challenges, and growth. Speaking of growth, I want to thank the man who needs no introduction—Shah Rukh sir. To share the screen with him and witness his exceptional talent and lively energy in person was truly, truly, truly fabulous,” she had said.
Jawan marked the first collaboration of SRK with director Atlee. The film received massive responses from the audience and has become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film. It minted Rs 8.60 crore on Wednesday which took the films total collection to Rs 466.19 crore in India.
