New Dists Violate Land Revenue Act, Says Bjp’s Rathore | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a presser at the BJP state headquarters here on Wednesday, deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore said that the Gehlot government had violated boundary determination rules of the Land Revenue Act 1956 while announcing 19 new districts on March 17.
“No district is made a district until the boundary is fixed as per the rules. In none of the announced 19 districts the boundaries were fixed, which proves that the Congress government’s only intention is to make populist announcements to grab people’s attention,” Rathore said.
He added that the government also ignored the Ram Lubhaya Committee which was constituted in 2022 to study feasibility of new districts.
“They announced the new districts even before the committee submitted its report. The term of the committee had been extended just weeks before the announcement, which was made under pressure from MLAs,” said Rathore.
He said the announcement of new districts had led to confusion among people in the absence of defined boundaries.
“The non-determination of boundaries has created confusion not only among the locals but also among the tourists. As of now no one is clear what the capital of Rajasthan is. The most shocking thing is that districts have been made directly from the gram panchayats, when the norm is to make them out of subdivisions and tehsils,” Rathore said.
Meanwhile sharing details of the second phase of the BJP’s Jan Aakrosh campaign from March 16 to mid-April, Rathore said, “The BJP will create a mass movement in every district of the state. The party will carry out protests and demonstrations in every district against the failure of Congress on issues such as loan waiver to farmers, paper leaks, corruption, law and order, increasing crime against women, etc.”
