No assembly, sports will be allowed in schools: Rajasthan govt | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: As the number of positive students in schools has increased, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the same was released on Friday for the protection of students.
Similar to the home department, directorate of secondary education, Bikaner has made it compulsory to get permission from parents to call students for offline classes and students won’t be pressurized for the same. Facility for online classes will continue.
Apart from similar points, education department guidelines mention that students who cannot attend offline classes in different programs under SMILE and Aao Ghar se Seekhein will continue and homework will be sent for students at home.
More than 10 lakh students studying in both private and government schools are impacted by this. According to the SOP, morning assembly, sports, and other cultural activities in the schools will not be allowed that were allowed in the last SOPs. Although lunch is supposed to be taken in the classroom in the presence of the teacher who should make sure protocols are being followed.
Mid-day meals will be provided through dry ration for now and schools have been asked to maintain social distancing in the campus.
