One Nation: Kejri Pitches For ‘one Nation, 20 Polls’, Offers ‘7 Guarantees’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday pitched for a ‘one nation, 20 elections’ system and said if ‘one nation, one election’ becomes a reality, the price of LPG cylinders would shoot up to Rs 5,000 each.
“If ‘one nation, one election’ system comes in force, PM Modi will come before the public only once every five years. LPG cylinder prices will be Rs 5,000 each, and in the fifth year, Modi will slash the price by Rs 200. Tomatoes will be available at Rs 1,500 per kg in this system,” said Kejriwal in his address to party workers in Jaipur. He was accompanied by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.
Kejriwal said if there is a ‘one nation, 20 elections’ system, PM Modi would at least go to the public every third month. “If there are no elections every year (in the states), Modi will move around the globe and come to voters only after five years,” he added.
He dubbed BJP’s ‘one nation, one election’ call as a ‘One Nation, One Friend’ system, in which the “central government works for only one man, leaving out 140 crore people”.
Kejriwal gave the people of Rajasthan “seven guarantees” about education, medicine, employment, security of women, regularisation of contractual employees, respectable compensation to police/soldiers, eradication of corruption, and electricity.
“The AAP government will regulate the fees charged by the private schools. On the lines of Delhi, all temporary teachers in government schools will be made permanent. Teachers will not be made to do any work other than teaching,” he said.
Highlighting the health model of Delhi, Kejriwal said, “We promise to open mohalla clinics across Rajasthan and upgrade all the civil hospitals. Our government will give health guarantees to every family for better treatment.”
“If the people of Rajasthan give us (AAP) a chance, we will provide 24-hour electricity and free power up to 300 units every month. We will also waive off the old pending bills. Every youth will get a guaranteed job,” he said.
Kejriwal said, “Our government will give Rs 1 crore as honorarium to Rajasthan Police or any soldier martyred on the border.”
Mann said no party other than AAP has the courage to seek votes based on work. “Other parties have been confusing the people,” he said.
