Ops Necessary To Create Trust, Says Gehlot | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Responding to the finance ministry’s stance on OPS, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday said Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s statement on the issue lacks clarity. “If OPS was wrong, she should have said it clearly. Saying it in a roundabout the manner is not good,” he said, adding that the finance ministry’s stance is “not a humane assessment from the employees’ point of view”.
Pointing out that the human rights commission has opposed the move, Gehlot said, “The employees’ money cannot be deployed in the volatile stock market. The judicial commission says they will not accept NPS. OPS is applied to HC judges and the Army, but in paramilitary forces it is NPS. What is the understanding of the Union government? OPS should be accepted to create trust among the employees.” tnn
