Ove: Ove 100 Goats, Sheep Die As High-tension Wire Falls On Shed | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: More than 100 goats and sheep were killed when an 11KV electricity transmission line broke and fell on the shed housing the animals in Barudi village in Gudamalani police station area in Barmer on Sunday morning. The tehsildar reached the spot and ordered the discom officers to shut down the transmission in the line. JEE Abhay Meena said there was a fault in the line’s top insulator, due to which it broke.
Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal wrote a letter to the district collector asking for government assistance to the owner of the animals.
Prataparam, the owner, said 70 sheep and 50 goats died of electrocution. He said they were the only source of livelihood for his family. He said he will lodge a case against the discom.
