Over 12 lakh students pass class 8 RBSE exam, 95k bag A grade | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: More than 12 lakh students passed the class 8 Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) exam, the results for which were declared on Wednesday. From the last academic year, the provision of not failing students in the Class 8 board exam has been done away with.
Education minister BD Kalla released the results of Elementary Education Completion Certificate at the Heritage Hall of the education directorate in Bikaner. The overall pass percentage was 94.50%.
“A total of 13,05,355 candidates appeared in this examination. Of these, maximum number of 1,23,933 candidates appeared in Jaipur district, while the least number of 14,303 candidates took the exam from Jaisalmer. In all, 12,33,702 candidates have passed,” said Kalla.
He said this year there was a provision of grading system in the examination. Based on that, 95,226 candidates got A grade, 4,74,924 B grade, 5,76,782 C grade and 86,770 D grade. In all, 86,777 candidates have to appear for supplementary examination.
Students who scored between 86% and 100% marks have got A grade. B grade is for 71% to 85% marks, C grade from 51% to 70% and D grade from 33% to 50% marks.
