Over 43k Got Jobs At 14 Fairs In State | Jaipur News

Employment, skill, and entrepreneurship secretary P C Kishan said the state government has the target of generating 1-lakh employment through job fairs until the model code of conduct (MCC) for the assembly elections is announced in the state. So far, 3.89 lakh candidates – 3.36 lakh male, 53,100 female and 54 third gender – have registered themselves for 14 job fairs and 1.48 lakh candidates have been interviewed. Of 43,240 jobs offered, 39,634 were male job seekers and only 3,614 were female job seekers. Four jobs were offered to candidates of the third gender. “To achieve a target of 1 lakh jobs (by mid-October), we will have to organise at least 8 job fairs a month. Women participation in the job fairs has been a challenge. We will have to ensure larger women participation in the coming job fairs,” said Kishan.
Kishan and district collector Saurabh Swami handed over offer letters to the selected candidates. tnn
