Overnight Rain Brings Mercury Down By 4c | Jaipur News
Jaipur: People in many districts of the state woke up amid overnight rainfall on Monday which guided the mercury to take a dip. Many places witnessed early morning drizzling, hailstorm and lightning due to which a dip of almost 4 degrees Celsius on an average was witnessed. However, Jaipur Met office stated that there is not going to be further rainfall and hailstorm in the next one week across the state.
Attributing the rainfall, hailstorm and lightning to the active western disturbances and anti-cyclonic circulation, Jaipur Met office said that in the next one week the weather would mainly remain dry and mercury will start taking an upward swing. “Till April 15, there is going to be one spell of hailstorm, rainfall and lightning in a few districts, but by and large weather is going to remain dry in the state,” said an officer with the Met office.
People in Jaipur woke up amid overnight rainfall and hailstorm was also witnessed in the outskirts of Jaipur including Jagatpura, Bassi, Kanota, Jaisinghpura Khor and other nearby areas. Due to the rainfall, mercury took a dip as Jaipur logged a minimum temperature of 17.3 degrees Celsius, almost three degrees below normal. It was followed by a comparatively pleasant afternoon as a maximum temperature of 31.4 degrees Celsius, almost 3.4 degrees below normal was recorded.
