Palanhar: Financial Aid Increased | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Social justice and empowerment minister Tikaram Jully on Thursday said orders have been issued to increase the financial assistance provided to beneficiaries, other than the orphan category, under the Palanhar Yojana. This will benefit more than 6.5 lakh children of the state.
Jully said monthly assistance has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 750 for children in the age-group of 0 to 6 years and Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 for children in the age-group 6 to 18 years has been increased. This increase will be made effective from July 1.
Jully said under the Palanhar Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500 is being given to children of the orphan category. Now, children of other categories will also get benefits of increased financial assistance.
Under the Palanhar scheme, financial assistance is provided to orphan children up to 18 years of age, destitute or remarried widowed mother, children of divorced/abandoned mother and estranged mother, children of specially-abled persons, children of parents suffering from HIV and leprosy, children of parents who have been sentenced to death penalty/life imprisonment and those suffering from silicosis disease.
