Paramour Takes Cue From Movie, Murders Woman; Throws Body Parts Into Borewell | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Taking a cue from a movie, a 29-year-old paramour killed a 28-year-old woman and carefully plunged her chopped-off body parts into a 400-feet-deep borewell in Nagaur.
According to SP (Nagaur) Ram Murti Joshi the accused, Anopa Ram, borrowed the idea of decomposing the body from the movie “Drishyam.” The State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) and local police for past two days are trying to retrieve the body parts of the victim, Guddi Devi for the past two days but in vain. The woman had mysteriously disappeared on January 22. Her husband and other family searched every nook and corner of her village but could not find any trace of her.
The Nagaur police then constituted a special team that suspected the involvement of Anupa Ram. “The primary investigation revealed that the accused was in some relationship with the woman for the past three years. Both of them were married, but there were bitter quarrels between them,” Joshi said.
The police sources said that the accused decided to eliminate Guddi after he got married a few years ago.
“On January 22, the accused took the woman to a secluded place in the wilderness near an industrial area on his bike. He killed her with a dagger the same day and fled from the scene,” he said.
The police found that the accused watched a movie while taking cues to properly dispose of the body in a manner that investigators could never find. He returned to the same spot on January 29. The body was fast decomposing. Some stray dogs and wild animals had eaten up parts of her body too.
Police said that the accused allegedly cut the body to fit it into a plastic sack. He took the sack to a borewell where he carefully dropped the body parts in a hope that the police will never be able to follow his trail.
On Tuesday, the Nagaur police picked up the accused for the interrogation and grilled him about the woman’s whereabouts. “The accused did not yield and kept diverting the probe but finally he told us about his grisly murder plot,” claimed an official.
Police teams then went to the borewell and used lowed down a special camera down the pit. “The camera captures images of a body,” Joshi said.
Police said special teams were trying to retrieve the body by pumping out the water from the borewells.
As many as three pump machines have broken down during the process.
