Parking Space: Parking Space Restrictions at SMS Hospital Jaipur: Challenges and Solutions | Jaipur News

Jaipur: With a significant increase in patients and hospital staff following implementation of Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and Nirogi Rajasthan scheme, the availability of parking space at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital has become a major issue. The hospital has taken measures to resolve the parking woes.
A SMS Hospitalofficial said that for patients and their attendants, the parking is now reserved only in Dhanwantri block’s parking space.The parking for the patients will be allowed only after showing the OPD registration and gate pass issued to the attendants of the admitted patients. The hospital staff will start counselling of the visitors and the staff for implementing the new system properly. “A meeting of a committee under hospital superintendent Dr Achal Sharma was held recently in which the decision on parking space was taken,” said the official.
The patients and their attendants parking were allowed in main building’s parking lot too but now they will not be allowed to park their vehicles in the main building’s parking lot. The private company operating the parking lot in main building and Dhanwantri block will now be confined to Dhanwantri block. The patients and their attendants will be allowed to park their vehicles for only 24 hours. “The main building’s parking lot will be reserved for the hospital staff including doctors, nurses, and other staff. The hospital has issued passes to the staff and those who will have the passes will be allowed to park their vehicles,” said Pyarelal Chaudhary, a nursing staff representative attended the meeting on parking lot.
