Police Await Reports To Know Cause Of Death | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Jalore police investigating the death of a 9-year-old student of a private school, who died almost a month after he was allegedly slapped by a teacher, on Friday said they are awaiting the pathology and FSL reports to know the cause of death.
In investigations so far, nothing much has been found to substantiate the allegations like caste discrimination and others according to police. However, police said their findings are not yet conclusive and they are digging deeper to know if the student was a victim of SC/ST atrocities.
“In the FIR, we will investigate if caste discrimination took place and if the boy drank water from a pot which was meant for others and he was beaten for this reason. We are awaiting the pathology report and FSL report to know exact cause behind the death,” Jalore SP Harshvardhan Agarwalla said.
Senior police officers said nothing much has been found to substantiate caste discrimination. “It is too early to reach any conclusion. We are recording the statements of the aggrieved parties and others to dig deeper into the case to know the truth. However, in the investigations so far, nothing much is been found to substantiate caste discrimination,” said a senior officer of Sayala police station in Jalore, who is part of the investigation.
Additional director general (crime) BL Meharda, who had visited the village on Thursday, said, “We are not in a hurry. Whatever allegations have been made in the FIR would be probed. I have asked my men to consider every aspect in the investigation.” tnn
