Pilot Joins Cong Leaders At Block Heads’ Meeting, Delivers Pep Talk | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Congress leaders on Thursday displayed a rare show of unity with Sachin Pilot joining a party function after a long time alongside other leaders at a workshop for newly appointed block presidents.
Congress in-charge for Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, state unit president Govind Dotasara, Harish Chaudhary, BD Kalla and Sachin Pilot were among prominent leaders present at the workshop. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot attended the meeting through video conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Pilot said, “The (Assembly) elections are round the corner. Some are saying there are 100 days for the election, some say 90 days. I say it is zero-day, and we must start working accordingly.”
He advised party workers not to wait for the election campaign to start. “An announcement will be made from Delhi, but those who want to win on any seat should get involved in the field from today itself,” said the former deputy chief minister.
Referring to the dispute between him and Gehlot, Pilot said, “All of us who are so-called leaders may have some differences. This goes on in politics. We must not be not distracted by it.”
“BJP is waiting for the fruits to fall in its lap but it is not going to happen. Whatever happened in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka will happen here. Even BJP itself concedes that they are not winning in Chhattisgarh and MP. Only Rajasthan is left. If we form the government again in Rajasthan, then BJP will be on the way out in 2024,” said Pilot. “Why are so many central BJP leaders landing in Rajasthan if they are so confident of victory?” he asked. Dotasra said those who work for the party would be rewarded. “I became the vice-president of NSUI, Youth Congress, district president and Sachin Pilot’s executive. In just 15 years. Congress then made me the state president of the party,” he added.
