Pilot’s yatra ‘personal’, party keeping eye on it: Randhawa | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Top Congress leaders of the state went into a huddle in New Delhi on Friday to chalk out a strategy to tackle the ‘challenge’ thrown by former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot who is on a ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra‘ against corruption and question paper leaks in the state.
Senior Congress leaders, including state party in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, state unit chief Govind Singh Dotasra and co-in-charges Qazi Muhammad Nizamuddin, Amrita Dhawan and Virendra Rathore attended a meeting at the party’s Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Road office.
Congress to prepare report on Pilot yatra
After the meeting, Randhawa said that the Pilot’s yatra was a “personal” one and the party was “keeping an eye on it”. “A full report will be sent to the high command a fter the return of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge from Karnataka,” he told reporters.
Replying to a question if any action might be taken against Pilot, Randhawa reiterated, “I have said in one line that we are keeping an eye onit. I will convey my views to the Congress president.”
“I met the three secretaries working with me and the Pradesh Congress Committee chief here. This was our first meeting together as we were busy with the elections in Karnataka and the Jalandhar bypoll. The strengthening of the organisation and appointments for frontal organis ations in the state were discussed,” said Randhawa.
Pilot on Thursday launched his 125km yatra from Ajmer to Jaipur.
