PM SHRI Schools: Roadmap Preparation for PM SHRI Schools in Jaipur by Education Department | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state education department has started preparing a roadmap for PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) before the next academic session starts. Under the initiative, 402 government schools from Rajasthan have been selected.
These schools will act as model schools at the block level. Rajasthan has the maximum number of such schools in the country, selected under this initiative, where schools will be upgraded and Rs 2 crore of fund will be given to each school.Of this budget, 30% of the amount can be spent on civil works and 40% of the amount on project innovation.
“Parents send their children to government schools with the hope that they will achieve something through education. We must live up to the expectations of those parents. The work done by the institution heads of PM SHRI schools will establish the image of the objectives of this scheme. It is the responsibility of all the institution heads to make maximum use of the resources in the interest of the students,” said Naveen Jain, secretary for school education in the state.
The department plans to introduce vocational education in these schools, install smart classrooms in all schools along with CCTVs, make green schools with LED lights, activities promoting green schools, digital libraries, ICT and digital initiatives, tablet for schools, rainwater harvesting facility in schools, installing solar panels, science labs, language lab, social science lab, gender equity initiative like sanitary pad vending machines, counselling for students among other initiatives.

IIT Tirupati to give special training for teachers of PM SHRI schools
662 schools of Andhra Pradesh have been selected for the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme. The Andhra Pradesh education department is in discussions with Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati to provide training to the teachers. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be executed between the school education department and IIT-Tirupati. The teachers will receive training in subjects like English, mathematics, physics, and biology from prestigious educational institutions. The scheme aims to develop 14,500 schools across the country. The school education department is also in discussions with English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, to introduce foreign language learning in schools.
