Pm To Address Public Meet In Bikaner Today | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The state BJP is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seventh visit to the desert state in the past nine months.
The PM would address a public assembly in Bikaner on Saturday. With the assembly polls barely six months away, Modi is launching and inaugurating projects of Rs 20,000 crore for western Rajasthan. This is the third administrative division – Udaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner—that Modi is covering in nine months. He would have covered 90 of the 200 assembly constituencies by tomorrow.
Modi will inaugurate Amritsar-Jamnagar Greenfield Highway via Bikaner which will pass through four districts in the state. The programme is a litmus test for state BJP president C P Joshi and his newly nominated state executive formed on July 1.
“Our new team is putting extra effort to ensure that the programme becomes a major success, and the crowd breaks all previous records. It will certainly be more than it was in the last nine months of the public address of Modi,” said a senior BJP leader. “PM’s projects are for the nation building and infra projects in Rajasthan will give a much-needed reprieve from the misgovernance of the Congress rule. It will create an economic opportunity for the people to help them in recovering their losses under the present regime in the state,” said leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore. Sumit Godara, MLA of Lunkaransar, said, “The highway will act as what Maa Ganga river is doing in the country. The visit will have a direct say on 23 assembly seats of the Bikaner division and an indirect impact on the whole of western Rajasthan. The highway is like an economic corridor for us connecting us to Punjab and Gujarat.”
