JAIPUR: A day after assembly polls in the state, tea stalls, parks, hospitals, gyms, and several other places in the Walled Cityon Sunday witnessed people engaged in animated discussions about the possible outcomes of the elections. Astrologers, too, were busy studying the positions of the celestial bodies in the birth charts of the candidates who contested the polls.People also appeared curious to know which party the satta bazaar is favouring.
At public gatherings throughout the day, voters were found trying to analyse the impact of the Congress government’s welfare schemes and the fate of prominent leaders while discussing BJP’s strategy to woo voters in the state. They were curious to know the exact voting percentage to guess which way the election results may swing and which party will win how many seats.
“The fate of the political leaders is now packed in the EVMs. We will know who is winning only on December 3” said a 60-year-old MD Gupta, an artist who lives in Ajmeri Gate area, countering a person’s argument at a tea shop clearly declaring a particular party as the winner.
Amit Agarwal, a 28-year-old businessman, said, “Everyone is predicting the election result by analysing the voting percentage in their own way.”
