Poor Sanitation, Streetlights, Diwali: Jmc-g Councillors Stir Over Poor Sanitation, Lack Of Lights | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Around 40 Congress councillors from JMC Greater (JMC-G) protested at the civic body’s headquarters on Thursday over poor sanitation conditions and lack of streetlights in different wards ahead of Diwali.
The councillors along with residents reached the municipal corporation headquarters together on Thursday afternoon and sat on strike at the main gate.To manage the huge crowd, the vigilance officials of the municipal corporation closed the main gate. The protesting councillors raised slogans against the administration after which JMC-G commissioner Babu Lal Goyal came to the gate to meet them.
Rajeev Chaudhary, the opposition leader in JMC-G, said that people living in the city are facing problems for basic facilities.
He said, “Diwali is here, but lights have not been installed in the colonies. The lights that were installed are also switched off. There are heaps of garbage everywhere on the roads.” TNN

JMC gears up to check fire-related incidents during Diwali

MIA begins work on installing runway centerline lights
Mangaluru International Airport is installing runway centerline lights to improve visibility. The installation work is expected to be completed by March 2024. A total of 160 centerline lights will be installed with redundancy provision. The airport is prioritizing the safety of aircraft operations and has availed NOTAM for the duration of the project to avoid disruption to regular flight operations. The runway centerline lights will complement the existing runway edge lights and threshold lights.
