Jaisalmer: A 36-year-old man, identified as Anil Singh Bhati, succumbed to his injuries after his bike collided with a horse on Sunday night in Jaisalmer. As the area was in complete darkness due to no street lights and overgrowing bushes, Bhati could not see the horse which suddenly appeared before him on a residential colony road.

Army to get 880 bighas for aviation base in Jaisalmer
The Indian Army will establish a new aviation base near Netasi village in Jaisalmer, close to the international border. The state cabinet has approved the allotment of 880 bigahs of land for the base, which is expected to house fighter helicopters and unmanned air vehicles. In unrelated news, an Indian Army HAL Chetak chopper made a precautionary landing in Haryana due to a technical fault, and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) plans to relax rules for large corporate borrowers.
