Prepare Uniform Syllabus As Per Nep: Guv To Univs | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra on Friday directed the state-funded universities to prepare a uniform syllabus as per the new education policy (NEP) by October 30. The direction came during a meeting between Mishra and the vice-chancellors at the Governor House.
“The universities should coordinate with the Governor House and form committees or teams of the VCs to fulfil the aim in the given timeframe,” reads the official statement from the Governor House. Mishra has been prompting the universities to implement the NEP since it was introduced in 2019.
He also directed the VCs to work towards the choice-based credit system and credit transfer system in sync with the new education policy as part of the reforms in the higher education system.
Highlighting the importance of the constitution park in every university introduced by him in the state in 2020, Mishra asked them to complete the task for November 26.
“Universities facing any difficulty in implementing the constitution park should consult with RSRDC, the working agency, to achieve the aim by the deadline,” said the statement. Many universities have already established the park while others are trying to complete it.
The Governor stressed the need for implementing the semester system in universities.
He also asked them to streamline the educational calendar to ensure that the admission process and examinations are held on time.
He asked the universities to engage students in their adopted villages. “The engagement of students will introduce them to their responsibility towards society,” said Mishra.
