Prime Accused In Dausa Doc Suicide Case Held In Jaipur | Jaipur News
Joshi’s arrest preceded a high-voltage drama after he suddenly appeared at the office of a regional news channel near C-Scheme on Thursday morning. A large contingent of cops arrived soon and apprehended him and took him with them.

Dausa SP Raj Kumar Gupta said a total of eight accused, including Joshi, have been arrested in the suicide case so far. Sharma’s husband Dr Suneet Upadhyay had filed an FIR wherein he had named Joshi for allegedly putting pressure on the doctor and organising protests at her hospital.
Dausa police had earlier claimed they had seen the CCTV camera footage which shows Joshi belting out abusive slogans against the doctor in the hospital. Joshi is said to be connected with the BJP leaders from Dausa.
Gupta said Joshi was accused of extortion. The incident took place on March 29 when Sharma committed suicide after Dausa police slapped murder charges on her when a 22-year-old woman was admitted to Sharma’s Anand Hospital with labour pain. Though she was taken to the labour room, her condition deteriorated allegedly due to excessive bleeding and she died on March 28.
The FIR put Rajasthan police in a tight spot because several doctors alleged that cops could have filed the FIR under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC, instead of slapping murder charges on the doctor.
