Neuroscience: Energy Officials Meet Cs Over Power Supply | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A meeting was called by the chief secretary of the state Usha Sharma with officials from the energy department to keep a track on the power requirements of the state.
Apparently, the state will be grappling with a power shortage for the next three months and officials were asked to put extra importance on the matter.
“The meeting was called to reinforce whatever was decided in a recent meeting with the CM. There has not been any talks on new policy,” said a senior official who attended the meeting.
“It is basically for strengthening and monitoring mechanisms, and no additional policy issues were discussed. We have worked out what our ability is, our long term plans on availability and demand of power are in store. Currently there are two ways in which the energy department is opting for power generation — one is short term procurement through exchange and second is banking arrangements,” said an official.
The meeting had also highlighted the issue of burnt transformers, especially the system of replacement. It was decided that cases of farmers with burnt transformers should be given priority and all the three discoms have been asked to keep a track on the issue.
“Detailed plan is to be made by the power department on the visit of the officials to solar power generation stations and check on the voltage regulation issue,” said an official.
